Overview

I am finding so many records, some of whach are quite extensive, on James COOK (also known as James Christopher COOK and Christopher James COOK) that I cannot process all of them in the available time. So I am going to list them here for future processing.

Unprocessesd Records

British Amry WWI Service Record -- This has MANY pages, perhaps 40 or so, including details of his 31 July 1918 marraige in Kent and his wife's petition for inclusion for free passage to the US along with him after the war. ( https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/1219/miuk1914g_131472-00580/403675 ) -- NOTE: IW&DRE stands for Inland Waterways & Docks Royal Engineers.

1920 Census of Union, DeKalb, Indiana -- He and Dorothy are shown together at 224 East 11th Street. ( https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/6061/4300605_01046?pid=16108983#?imageId=4300605_01046 )

21 May 1919 Arrival in Quebec City from Liverpool -- There are three separate images, with much information, including about his sister Mrs. Willis (Mary Ellen Cook) in Auburn, Indiana. It is not clear what the relationship of Arthur CHAPMAN (who was also a witness to their marriage) is to Dorothy and to James. He appears to be listed as her father and yet there is another name which could be from the next person on the list. But she married as a spinster in 1918, so that her ELDRIDGE surname would be her maiden name, which does not fit with Arthur CHAPMAN being her father -- unless possibly her step-father.
