The Last Will and Testament of Nicholas Grosse of Luxulyan

This Will was made the 28th day of June An Dom 1643

“In the name of God Amen I commend my spirit into the hands of almighty God and my body unto the holy earth, beinge in my perfect sense and memory.

Imprimis: I give to Jane my wife one cowe and four year old heafer one mare tenn sheep the best crock and best pann one caldron and the pann which was her owne thre platters one oudden bol and other small things.

Item: I give to my wife the living to Corken (?) Yeat (?) [WJ: William J. Grose reads this as Lockengate, in his book, pp 11-12] As longe as shee live if the two kine (kine) live soe longe.

Item: I give to my wife one beed furnished and one but (cut?) Of beds.

Item: I give to my sonne Robart Grosse thirty shillings.

Item: I give to Robart Grosse his children twenty one shillings being (?) Shillings to each of them.

Item: I give to George Grosse his datter Jane one two year ould heafer.

Item: I give to my two sonnes George Grosse and Ambrus Grosse being made Executors alkie all the rest of my Goods and Livings and have heare unto put my hand the day and yeare first abovve writen.
