In a petition received 8 Nov 1797, Christopher petitions for land "for self, wife, and three children, viz:  John, Sarah, and Aaron."  He was recommended for 300 acres which would correspond with 200 acres for himself as a Loyalist and 50 additional "family land" acres for wife and three children named.  It is not clear why only these older children were named.  In a petition received 4 Feb 1807, he again petitions for "additional quantity of lands as military claimant with his family lands."  He says that his family consists of seven children "the eldest being now of the age of sixteen years".   This would make sense only if he was referring to the children who were not married at the time this petition was actually written, which may have been earlier than 1807.
