Gibson Family Bible - Birth of John Gibson 24 May 1811
The Family Bible records the families of brothers John (born 1811) and Christopher Gibson who came to Pickering Township from County Armagh, Ireland, apparently in late 1841 or early 1842. When Christopher died, his widow Elizabeth Gray married Thomas Johnston and had one son, John Johnston, which is the origin of the Johnston entries in the Gibson Family Bible. -- image thanks to Gary Bagley who had the Bible restored
