HILLSBORO -- Special Correspondence. -- Hillsboro, May 14. -- A board of five members to manage the affairs of Hillsboro's new special school district was elected here today. The candidates were nominated at a citizens' caucus held last Thursday and were elected without opposition. Only 41 votes were cast. The new board is as follows: S. Butson, E. B. Haagenson, J. E. Paulson, O. C. Sarles and P. G. Swenson. They are all prominent business or professional men and their election is interpreted to mean that no retrograde movement will mark the schools under the new regime. The commencement exercises of our high school this year will be held Tuesday evening, June 14. The graduating class consists of John Carkin, Gunda Olson and Clara Pottrud.
