Vaclav Kouteckys in Rousinov - Untangling the Records

research note by Wesley Johnston - last updated 9 Sep 2016 (updated URLs to new SOA Praha website from old Actapublica website)

Purpose

There is enough uncertainty about the connection between the 1823-Rouisnov-born Vaclav Koutecky and the Vaclav Koutecky who fathered three children in 1867-1884 at Motycin that I have begun this research note to list and evaluate the documentary evidence.

Which Vaclav was Josef and Christian Koutecky's Father?

The 1860 Rousinov marriage record of Josef Koutecky can be seen at:

The 1864 Rousinov marriage record of Christian Koutecky can be seen at:

Their father was Vaclav of Rousinov #43. And ther mother was Frantiska Lino of Zhore #9 and 12. Josef was 31, thus born about 1829. Christian was 29, thus born about 1835. So the 1823-born Vaclav was not their father.

Bottom Line for Now

For the time being, I am carrying Christian and his parents as a distinct family, until I find how they connected to the other Koutecky families in Rousinov. I am still not convinved that the 1823 Vaclav was the father in Motycin of the 1867-1884 children. It is certainly possible, but he would have been 44 when the first child was born in 1867.
