Upper Canada JOHNS(T)ON(E) Sundries
THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN AS FULLY COMPLETE.

The early settlers who came to Upper Canada (what is now Ontario) made requests to the government. These records are now online at the Library and Archives of Canada web site. "Upper Canada Sundries" is the short name for the Library and Archives Canada collection with the full name "Civil Secretary's Correspondence, Upper Canada, Upper Canada Sundries" in Record Group 5 A1. The collection covers the years 1766-1841. They require some learning to know how to find what you seek. So I have created a web page about how to do such searches.

I will download and post images of all 18 indexed (in the incomplete name index) petitions by JOHNSTON or JOHNSTONE or JOHNSON. (There are 7 index entries for JOHNSTON and 1 for JOHNSTONE and 10 for JOHNSON.)

This is a web page of my Pre-Confederation Canada Johnstons web site. Click here for the main page.
