Frey, Viola (married Schaumburg - probably) 1945-02
Frey, Viola (married Schaumburg - probably) 1945-02
This photograph was sent to me by Dan Kirkpatrick, descendant of the NY branch of the Chicago GELIS family. I believe it may be Viola (FREY) BROOKE SCHAUMBURG, whose son Walter BROOKE by her first marriage went to NY with his father in 1900 and grew up in NY. I am guessing that after August SCHAUMBURG's 1944 death, Viola may have been seeking contact with her son, who by then was living in Massachusetts.

Henry Fred Schaumburg - 1942 Delayed Record of 24 June 1882 Birth
The entry is on line 25. Both on his 1942 World II Draft Registration and on this 1942 delayed birth record (which was probably necessitated by the draft), he gave his birthplace as New Ulm. However, the family was living at Springfield, Minnesota when he was born. == https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1942-22117-16301-30?cc=1920099&wc=12242041
